A simple taco salad is just what your family wants on a busy evening. Ready in minutes and packed with flavor, everyone loves this!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
- ¼ cup water
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (9 ¼ oz) bag Fritos corn chips, crushed
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Cook the ground beef for 5 minutes, stirring regularly and crumbling the meat.
- Add the taco seasoning and stir to combine, then add in the water. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes stirring regularly making sure the meat is well-seasoned and cooked through.
- In a large bowl, toss together the tomato, lettuce, cheese, and corn chips.
- Once the meat has cooked, serve the salad topped with meat and favorite taco toppings such as sour cream or hot sauce.
