What Do I Serve With a Bacon Cheeseburger Wrap?
What would you normally serve with a cheeseburger? Fries are a natural choice, so I recommend checking out this recipe for homemade seasoned steak fries or this simple version of cottage fries.
Of course, you can also serve this with a cold pasta salad, couscous salad, or even a potato salad for a traditional side. Things like chips, or a tortilla chip with something like homemade salsa or a guacamole dip are also excellent sides to this recipe.

How to Make a Bacon Cheeseburger Wrap
Prepare the hamburger mixture by combining ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper together until mixed thoroughly. If desired, you can season the hamburger mixture with garlic, paprika, onion powder, or a generic hamburger seasoning as well.
Divide the ground beef mixture into thirds and form each into a round patty. Make the patties around ½" thick.
Now, heat a skillet over medium heat with a bit of oil (if desired), then place the hamburger patties into the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until the desired doneness. This time results in well-done burgers, but if you prefer medium you can cook for less time.
Once the burger has been cooked to your preferences, remove and set it aside. Leave remaining oil in the pan, and cook the bacon for 2 to 3 minutes per side until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and let it drain on paper towels.
Now, into the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook them for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until they are softened and beginning to brown. Remove these from heat and/or the skillet and set them aside.
How to Assemble a Cheeseburger Crunchwrap
To assemble your crunchwrap, start by placing the flour tortilla onto a clean surface. I like to do this as an assembly line, so will put all three tortillas, side by side, onto a clean surface and do each step after the other.
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup and mayonnaise, and then spread a dollop into the center of the tortilla.
Top the sauce with a single burger patty.
Then add cheese on top of the burger. You can use 1 to 2 slices. I like more for extra cheesiness once cooked.
Add the cooked bacon, and then the onions on top of the cheese to build the burger.
Now, use a tostada shell or a few tortilla chips on top of the burger to add that layer of crunch.
Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla over the top of the burger forming that classic hexagon shape.
Continue this process for all three wraps then heat a clean non-stick skillet over medium heat and place the wraps, seam side down, into the skillet.
Serve with additional dipping sauce and condiments or toppings as desired.
Frequently Asked Questions
A Crunchwrap is a menu item found at Taco Bell that features taco or burrito fillings layered in a tortilla with a crunchy shell, then folded over and browned on a grill.
The tortilla is usually filled with meat, cheese, and vegetables, and then topped with sauces or condiments. In this case, since we are making a cheeseburger Crunchwrap, it includes bacon, cheese, and condiments.
A Crunchwrap can be made using a multitude of different fillings. The core is that it is layered and includes both the soft outside tortilla as well as the crispy tortilla inside.
If you’re looking for a healthier option, you can definitely make this with ground turkey instead of beef. Just be sure to cook the turkey thoroughly before adding it to the wrap, just as we recommend you do with the ground beef.
You can also use ground chicken or pork in this recipe. If you do, be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly. Whatever you normally use to make your burgers, you can use that meat to make this burger wrap.
I like to use mayonnaise and ketchup as my sauce for this, but you can really use any sauce that you like. Another popular option is to combine mayonnaise with sriracha for a bit of a spicy sauce.
Other common condiments for burgers include mustard, barbecue sauce, steak sauce (A1), dill relish, and pickles.
If you are using ground chicken or turkey, you can try adding some Caesar dressing to the Crunchwrap as a twist on the flavor with Parmesan or mozzarella instead of American cheese.
You do not have to add the grilled onions. I love the added flavor and richness they add, and once cooked down, they aren't spicy but instead rich with flavor.
If you don't want to add onions, you can easily skip them completely or replace them with a different vegetable such as mushrooms or bell peppers.
If you want to add some freshness to your bacon cheeseburger wrap, you can certainly add lettuce and tomato. I would recommend adding them after the wrap has been grilled or fried, so they don’t get too wilted.
While this is a basic wrap with bacon, cheese, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup, you can customize this burger for your own preferences.
A few ideas that can really make this a great addition to your menu include lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, bell peppers, pickles, relish, or a different type of cheese or bacon.
