How to Make Blueberry Donuts
Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a large bowl then set it aside.
In a new bowl, whisk the wet ingredients - egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
Then, pour the melted butter into the dry ingredients and stir until it has crumbled.
Now, add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir until combined and a dough has formed.
Fold in the blueberries.
Lightly flour a clean surface, then turn out the dough and begin rolling it out. You may need to sprinkle with additional flour to prevent sticking.
Use a donut cutter or glass to cut out the donuts. Repeat this until all dough has been used. You may need to roll this out a second time.
Heat oil to 365°F in a deep skillet or fryer. Once hot add 2 to 3 donuts into the hot oil and cook until they are browned, then turn and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the hot oil and drain on paper towels or a wire rack and repeat until all of the donuts have been fried.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can store glazed blueberry donuts in an airtight container for up to one week. They are good for up to 10n days in the refrigerator.
If you’d like them to last longer, you can freeze them for up to three months. Simply wrap each donut individually and place it in a freezer-safe bag or container. When ready to enjoy, simply thaw at room temperature
The glaze for glazed blueberry donuts is made with a combination of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. This simple glaze adds the perfect amount of sweetness to these delicious donuts. You can easily adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar.
The best time to glaze the donuts is when they are still warm. This will help the glaze form a nice, even coat over the top of each donut. It also ensures that the glaze melts into every nook and cranny of the donut for maximum flavor and enjoyment.
However, you do not want to glaze the donuts when they are too hot, or else the glaze will melt off. Let them cool for at least 5 minuets before dipping them into the glaze.
