This brownie batter dip recipe is going to blow your mind. It's absolutely delicious, easy to make, and one of my favorite desserts. In fact, this is one of those recipes you will make for every party or event because it is just that easy and just that good!

Okay, so this isn't exactly a healthy treat, but it is a delicious one. What's wrong with enjoying a bit of chocolate here and there? Not a thing! That's why I had to share this simple recipe with you to add to your dessert menu.
A few years ago I was introduced to the world of dessert dips with this simple pumpkin pie dip. Soon, I realized how many delicious options there were, and began experimenting. I've made monster cookie dip as well as an eggless sugar cookie dough that are all great little options that taste much like my favorite baked treats. This recipe is one of the best though and I know you will love it!
Does This Have Raw Eggs In It?
No, this doesn't contain raw eggs. It's honestly not much like your brownie recipe at all! The combination though, tastes very much like a brownie, only a little bit richer and a whole lot safer to eat.
Now, if you want to eat regular brownie batter, I'm not going to stop you from doing it. Most eggs sold in grocery stores now have been sanitized and are pauperized, so they really don't pose as much a threat as they could. I, personally, won't do it anymore, but that's because this is so much better!
What do I Dip Into Brownie Batter Dip?
I absolutely love using this as an alternate fruit dip. Chocolate covered strawberries, anyone? It's one of my favorite ways to add a bit more fruit to my day. I know it isn't the healthiest, but that's okay. Apples, oranges, pears, strawberries, cherries, mango, and pineapple are my favorite to dip into this.
You can also use this as a dip with most common cookies or crackers. Things like old-fashioned animal crackers, vanilla wafers, and graham crackers are my favorites. Oreo cookies in various flavors are always delicious with this dip. That said, I like making a batch of these crunchy oatmeal cookies or even a simple molasses crinkle cookie recipe.
Can I Use Dark Chocolate Cocoa Powder?
You can definitely add in some dark chocolate cocoa powder in place of the traditional milk chocolate powder. Given the cream cheese, butter, and sugar in the recipe, it won't be overly dark like a normal dark chocolate bar. It tastes especially good with dark chocolate when dipped with strawberries and cherries.
What Add In's Work with Chocolate Dip?
This dip is often served with mini chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Depending upon what you are using to dip into the mixture, below are some fun ways to dress up this dip with a bit more flavor and texture.
- Replace the vanilla extract with mint, banana, or strawberry extract.
- Mix in mini chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or peppermint chips.
- Add in caramel bites, Andes chocolate bits, or Health bar bits.
- Chop strawberries or maraschino cherries and stir in when serving with plain cookies or crackers.
- Drizzle the top with extra hot fudge, butterscotch syrup, or caramel syrup.
- Top with sprinkles in seasonal or holiday colors.
How Long is Brownie Batter Good in the Refrigerator?
While this never lasts more than 2 days in our house, it is good for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Just make sure you keep it chilled and in an airtight container for the best freshness. The longer it is in the refrigerator, it will begin separating some and will likely need to be stirred before serving.
Can I Freeze This Dip?
You sure can! While it is best freshly made, I have frozen large batches of this into portions. Sometimes, I struggle with portion control, so when making this I like to put it into single-serving cups. Freezing those is a great way to have a little snack later down the road.
You can eat this frozen for a totally new way to enjoy the mixture, or let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Before serving, simply stir well to make sure it is combined well.

How to Make Brownie Batter Dip
In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter on medium until smooth. Approximately 2-3 minutes.
Beat into this mixture the powdered sugar, cocoa, heavy cream, and vanilla.
The mixture should be well combined and smooth.
Serve with cookies or fresh fruit.

Chef's Tip
When working with cream cheese and mixing dry ingredients into it, you may be worried about there being lumps. I can't begin to say how much I use my hand mixer and immersion blender. Sometimes, doing it by hand just isn't enough. In this case, use a good quality hand mixer to make sure it blends well without lumps.
